This story says 'At first glance, it appears most of the shortlisted candidates were selected based on brand recognition or established ties to prominent golfing bodies. The quality of their work, or the suitability of their skills for the land in question, would seem to have been a secondary consideration.'

This is a broad and sweeping statement i assume written by Darius Oliver? Generally speaking when I have seen such broad sweeping comments applied to half a dozen names Nicklaus, Norman, Player, Thomson Perrett and Robert Trent Jones II – I think that the person who is writing it is a bit short sighted, or perhaps has no grip on history. Can I suggest if you want to state on your website that Darius Oliver is a 'greatly respected writer, course rater, and international golf consultant' that you retain SOME SEMBLANCE of neautral ground in your writings.

I found this website when I heard about the golf course architects that are hoping to design the Olympic Games course for 2016. After reading several entries on here, while i do like some of the content, i feel compelled to write in and say that the website generally feels like an 'advertorial' for a couple of designers, at the expense be it morally, ethically of a host of other designers that borders on slander in my opinion and I am surprised you can get away with it.
