Hardelot Golf Club - Les Pins

France, NW France
6.5 (6)
Designer: Tom Simpson
Course Opened: 1934

One of Europe’s premier golden era golf courses, the Pines Course at Hardelot in northern France was designed by legendary British architect Tom Simpson and first opened for play in 1934. The course is set within a fragrant pine forest full of subtle sand dune shapes, wooded valleys and attractive native vegetation. Simpsons green shapes and strategic bunkering are the primary golf attraction here. After years of slow decay and gradual tree encroachment, mercifully his holes are on their way back to full glory thanks to a sensitive restoration project undertaken by current club management.
